Pole & Sensual Movement
See above or click here for both a Cirque Noir video and a student performance workshop video.
Ana has been teaching Pole dance and sensual movement to women for the last ten years. She helped establish the burgeoning Pole dance movement that is now firmly rooted in pop culture. Ana helped to open the first S factor studio outside of its original location in Los Angels, where she trained with founder, Sheila Kelley. As an S factor teacher, Ana taught hundreds of women, of all walks of life, to embrace the power and beauty inherent in their bodies. She also trained and mentored many other S factor teachers. She has continued to teach, choreograph and perform as a founding member of the Bay Area's, Best of the Bay 2009 "Aerial Burlesque Company", Cirque Noir. She has hosted workshops and taught classes up and down the Bay from South San Francisco's Steel Heart Dance, to Marin's own Bay Club.
Ana works to foster community and a spirit of transformation within her classes. Students build strength and learn skills, but more importantly they develop a new eye for themselves and for other women.
